IT'S NOT HOW GOOD YOU ARE.
IT'S HOW BAD YOU WANT IT!
WHO WE ARE
East Coast Aquatic Club is located in Delray Beach, FL. The team was established in July 2013 by John Kjaerulff. ECAC started out as a small group of ambitious swimmers with goals and aspirations to become better swimmers within the Florida Gold Coast LLC and nationally.
Each year, ECAC continues to produce swimmers who qualify for the LSC Championship series, as well as swimmers who represent the LSC at the All-Star Duel meet and Southern Zone meets. Swimmers across all age groups qualify for a multitude of qualifying meets including: The Futures Championship, TYR International Elite Showcases, Speedo Sectionals, USA Swimming Junior Nationals, USA Swimming Open, and USA Swimming Nationals.
In April 2019, John Kjaerulff stepped down as owner and Head Coach, naming Coach Alison Templin as his successor. ECAC continues to strive to be a team that provides excellent stroke technique and the tools for swimmers to be competitive and reach their fullest potential, with a centered focus on creating an environment that teaches swimmers camaraderie, time management, sportsmanship, discipline, and most importantly, teamwork.

HEAD COACH | NATIONAL + SENIOR
Alison Templin started her swimming career at age 8 right here in Palm Beach County. At a young age, Alison knew she was going to be a Distance Freestyler. As an age-group swimmer she scored top three at JO’s and earned her first Sectional cut at 12. In high school, she earned All-American status in the 200 and 500 Free and was also named 2008 Palm Beach County Swimmer of the Year. In addition, in 2007, Alison set the County Meet records in the 500 Freestyle. After High School, Alison attended the University of Arkansas and swam for Jeff Poppell. While in college she was a four-time scoring contributor at the SEC Championship, and excelled by posting National and Olympic Trial qualifying times. At Arkansas, an emphasis was placed on stroke technique which gives her proficient knowledge in teaching proper swimming skills.
